Our Purpose

- to know God and use our entire lives in service to Him.

- to stand in the gap through prayer, giving and service to viable ministries in Latin America.

- to be transparent helpers of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, using our resources and skills that through the Holy Spirit, we might encourage and equip those who have less.

- to share a living perspective from Latin America to our churches, friends and family in the states and beyond.

Buenos Tardes!

Hello dear friends and family!

We are here. Or as we say in spanish...aqui estamos!!

We have made it to Mexico. We are still in the mountains but, gracias a Dios, we have found a casa to rent. Just this afternoon in fact. Actually, I should wait until we're actually in before I say it's a done deal but oh well. Alan is currently on his way to the store (they run the Dulceria (candy store)in town to let them know that we'd like to rent it. It seems like a God send. What am I saying! Of COURSE it's a God send.

They are in the process of cleaning things up and moving out to their new house down the road and will be repainting and cleaning to get it ready for us. It is small and very Mexican but it's JUST what we were praying for. There are three bedrooms (small), a kitchen, a bathroom (WITH A BATHTUB!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell this is a blessing?????!!!!!), and a family room. There is a little "bodega" outside with a place for the washing machine and Alan's tools and a strip of land where the kids can play during the day and Alan can lock up the truck at night. One of the things we were praying about was the fact that we wanted to find something that would cost less than what we paid for rent before. Praise God it is! We also realized it's right down the road from our pastor, Juan Carlos and Yanira! I'll post pictures when I can. We're hoping to move in sometime in the next two weeks. They still have some work to do and we do have to pay to get the phone line connected (for interent) but then hopefully, we'll be in business!

Until then we're still in the mountains, but there is work and preparation for us to do to get ready. Alan has visited the children's home a couple of times to check in and we're getting excited to be involved with their ministry again.

Thank you all for being so patient with us with all the changes and 'settling in' time that it takes for us to be working here. I wonder how your culture shock and adjustment is going? We are so thankful for your support, emails, and love that you've sent and are sending our way!
