The Hayes Zoo

Our Purpose

- to know God and use our entire lives in service to Him.

- to stand in the gap through prayer, giving and service to viable ministries in Latin America.

- to be transparent helpers of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, using our resources and skills that through the Holy Spirit, we might encourage and equip those who have less.

- to share a living perspective from Latin America to our churches, friends and family in the states and beyond.

I'm Not Mature Enough....

...to update this blog.

As in change it up - update with exciting stories and actual current events, mostly because I don't feel like there's much to say.

There are some things going on so here goes.

We are not in Mexico anymore....physically. Therefore the title should no longer say "Hayes Zoo In Mexico". I did change that.

We've also included the new website of our partners in Oaxaca. It's in the sidebar and gets you some GREAT info on that region and work projects in reaching the unreached w/ the gospel. Even though we're not physically there, we're still watching and praying for them. A mission's trip is in the plan for the future and we have our 'piggy bank' set aside for funding audio bibles. Anyone want to join in? :)

As for what *we* are doing now? Well - job hunting is at a top priority. Alan has been blessed w/ some part time work and for that we are incredibly grateful. We're still praying about full-time employment.

The rest of us are home schooling and learning the balance of running at a United States pace. The kids were lamenting in the car the other day, 'We have to DRIVE EVERYWHERE!!!'. Every once in a while we have culture clash moments but I've had a numb brain for too long and have missed a bunch of 'em. Thank goodness those kiddos are flexible.

So even though Plan B hasn't shown up on the doorstep yet, we're doing our best to use each day to make right choices and watch closely.

Estamos esperando. We are waiting...and hoping.

Abrazos,

Faith

I like your updated blog. Nice job!

Waiting and watching with you, thankful for flexible kids and a Father who cares for you even when you don't feel up to the task.

Thanks for the link to our Oaxaca blog. We really appreciate your continued partnership. I suppose you'll have to have income before I should start hoping to schedule you in for a mission trip, huh?

The new look is lovely. Well done.

Praying for you all as you adjust and wait for the next step. I know that God is holding onto you all, praying that you can sense it as well.

The updated blog looks great.

I'm praying for direction for you all. It's hard to be in limbo.

Thankfully, we have a God who never is.

Wish I could hug you in person.
